    WHAT WAS SAID

"We made many mistakes and were far from our level, we must correct them. I think that we did not appear in the face we should appear," Mokwena said in a post-match conference.

"I congratulate the Meknes Club on its victory, especially in the second half in which it appeared very strong. In the professional championship, there are many good teams, and I think we also have a good team that only needs to work hard.

"It is true that we do not have a magic wand, and I know that Wydad has suffered greatly, which is what we work on a lot," he added.

"And you know the work we do, even if we sleep a little and work hard for this club and its fans. I am confident that the results will improve little by little, God willing."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Wydad have now played seven games where they won three times, drawing twice, and losing two times in the league.

Mokwena's side dropped from second position to fifth in the Botola Pro League table and have picked up 11 points so far.

On the other hand, Bafana Bafana forward Cassius Mailula, who is facing stiff competition in the striking department at the club, has still yet to score a goal for the team having introduced in the 81st minute against Meknes.

    WHAT NEXT?

Mokwena's Wydadwill be aiming to improve on their disappointing start to the season when they face off against RSB Berkane on Saturday.

The Red Castle's latest defeat to Meknes could put piled pressure on the South African tactician, considering that North African clubs rarely waste time when it comes to firing coaches.
