Relebohile Mofokeng rescues Orlando Pirates from defeat against UEFA Champions League contestants Pafos

Orlando Pirates drew 1-1 with Cypriot side Pafos at Marbella Football Center on Sunday.

After initially trailing, the Buccaneers hit back in the 24th minute through Relebohile Mofokeng to avoid defeat.

They were coming up against opponents who will be playing in the UEFA Champions League in the upcoming season.

Interestingly, Mofokeng and Oswin Appollis substituted each other in the Bafana Bafana set up.

But Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has been trying to accommodate the two in one match and start them on either wing.

The Buccaneers remain winless in their pre-season tour of Spain after starting with a 2-0 defeat to Bolton Wanderers.

Sunday's result was something they might not have welcomed well, as coach Ouaddou is yet to taste victory while in charge of the Buccaneers.

The Buccaneers continue with their pre-season training, and they now prepare to face Las Palmas on Thursday.

They would be hoping to win and build up on a winning mentality going into the new season.
