    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Hugo Broos has confirmed his squad for back-to-back international matches.

Percy Tau, who was overlooked in the last two international breaks owing to a lack of game time at the club level, has been recalled.

The Belgian has also given a chance to Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams, who has been doing well recently.

However, injured Kaizer Chiefs defender Rushwin Dortley has been excluded, meaning Amakhosi have no player in Broos' team for the qualifiers.

  • WHO HAS MADE THE SQUAD?

Fit-again Burnley attacker Lyle Foster is in the team but Orlando Pirates forward Tshegofatso Mabasa will have to wait for his chance.

    WHAT NEXT?

Broos and his team know there is no room for mistakes if they are to play in the prestigious global competition.

Six points in the forthcoming two games will potentially put them at the top of Group C, which will be a massive confidence booster.

South Africa are hoping to play in the World Cup for the first time since 2010 when they hosted it.
