Patrick Maswanganyi brace sinks Richards Bay to fire Orlando Pirates into Nedbank Cup Last-16 ahead of Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs

After 22 minutes of play, Patrick Maswanganyi blasted into the back of the net from the edge of the box a set up by Relebohile Mofokeng to place Orlando Pirates on the winning path.Maswanganyi was back again four minutes later and this time finished another Mofokeng supply from close range. Richards Bay attempted to come back when Yanela Mbuthuma reduced arrears after pouncing on a spill by Pirates goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi two minutes after the restart.Tshegofatso Mabasa then dashed the hosts' hopes of a comeback when he scored Pirates' third goal off a Kabelo Dlamini feed for a 3-1 win.
