Orlando Pirates' Relebohile Mofokeng urged to 'keep his feet on the ground' amid transfer speculation around him - 'His time to move overseas will come'

After being one of Orlando Pirates' top performers in the last two seasons, Relebohile Mofokeng has been struggling to recreate the form that made him a key player for the Buccaneers.

This has sparked debate about coach Abdeslam Ouaddou's capability to use the winger.

The current season started with rumours about Mofokeng leaving the Buccaneers being viral and former Pirates forward Andries Sebola says the wideman should not be affected by failing to secure a kove abroad. 

"The young Relebohile Mofokeng seemed eager to go abroad. He needs to keep his feet on the ground. His time to move overseas will come," Sebola said as per KickOff.  
"However, I was pleased with his performance in extra time, where he played as a number 10 and contributed to one of the goals.
“Still, I believe we will see the best of Oswin Appollis. He is not selfish, he can take defenders on, shoot, and create opportunities," added the retired footballer. "I was happy with his performance, and I believe the goals will come for him.”

Mofokeng had formed a menacing partnership with Mohau Nkota, who left the Buccaneers for Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq.

But the departure of Nkota appears to have affected Mofokeng's progress.

The School of Excellence graduate was tipped to move abroad two seasons ago when he underwent trials at Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers, but Nkota managed to secure a move overseas just a season after bursting onto the PSL stage.

Mofokeng has a lot to play for this season as he tries to win some regular playing time.

Staying on top of his game could see him securing a plane ticket to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals with Bafana Bafana.
