    Saleng lauded

Orbit College FC head coach Pogiso Makhoye has praised Monnapule Saleng after he scored a goal in the 2-1 Premier Soccer League game against Richards Bay.

Saleng's winning goal was vital for Orbit College, who have been struggling to register victories, especially in their away games.

    Time to score

“I think even today in the morning [referring to Friday], when we were eating breakfast, I said to him, ‘Now is about time you need to score because you have been creating chances and getting in the right areas. I think you just need a goal. Tonight should be that night.’ What a way to do it,” Makhoye told SuperSport TV

    Orbit College finding themselves

Makhoye further reinstated his belief in Saleng that the forward is talented and is capable of delivering good results for the PSL debutants.

“I mean, we know what Saleng can give, and he is giving us that…. We are starting to find ourselves and our rhythm," Makhoye added.

“So, I’m happy for him and for the team. At least we have broken that dark spell of away games. We have been losing away games. I said to them today [Friday] that we need to change the results and believe that we can win our away games, and we have done that.”

    Saleng under pressure

Makhoye initially criticised the forward, saying Orbit College had not seen what was expected of him when he was signed on loan.

The Bucs' loanee had just one assist in eight games, but the goal against Richards Bay is expected to give him the necessary morale boost.

Saleng's return to his boyhood club was meant to give him a platform to rediscover his form after being frozen out at Pirates last season.
