    WHAT HAPPENED?

Orlando Pirates loaned out Katlego Otladisa to Sekhukhune United for the rest of this season.

The winger had spent one-and-a-half season at the Buccaneers before he was sent to Babina Noko.

Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has commented on Otladisa, speaking glowingly of the player he describes as a "fantastic soul."

    WHAT RIVEIRO SAID

“I wish him the best. He is one boy we all love in the team, in the group, in the club among the players, and among the coaching staff. He is a fantastic soul," Riveiro told reporters.

"He obviously was not having so many minutes with us in the last season and a half. So, this is a good place for him to continue with his development as a football player. He’s around like I said before experienced and very good players.

“So, it’s going to be easy for him to show the player that he really is and unfortunately, he couldn’t play against us. But I wish him all the best.”

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

In his first season at Pirates, Otladisa managed to make 12 appearances in all competitions but he could not score a goal and be provided one assist.

The tricky player never played a single match for the Buccaneers this season.

But in less than a month at Sekhukhune, he had featured in five Premier Soccer League games and one Cup match, while contributing a goal and an assist.

Should he continue enjoying regular football at Babina Noko, that could enhance his chances of playing regularly when he returns to Pirates.
