    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs displayed some good football against Orlando Pirates in the Soweto Derby played at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

The game was seemingly destined to end goalless before Njabulo Blom was harshly adjudged to have fouled Relebohile Mofokeng.

Amakhosi ended up losing by a solitary goal thanks to that controversial penalty scored by Tito.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

It was a wicked loss for the Glamour Boys who were determined to get a result against their old rivals.

The fans were disappointed just like the players since they felt they had given everything to prove they were on the ascendancy.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi - who was furious with the officials, believes Amakhosi are on the right track.

He has since insisted his team will rise despite the loss.

  • WHAT NABI SAID

"Amakhosi faithful, your passion fuels us. A tough one [on Saturday], the result stings, but we see the progress, the strides we’re making," he posted on his Instagram account.

"The journey is long, but we’re on the right path. Thank you for your unwavering belief, and thanks to management for their continued support. We will rise again, GOD willing," Nabi concluded.
