    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs were edged 2-1 by Golden Arrows at Moses Mbhida Stadium on Sunday.

It was a result that saw the Soweto giants cement their status as an inconsistent team this season.

On an afternoon Amakhosi were wasteful in front of goal, coach Nasreddine Nabi feels his players are committing the same mistakes over and over again.

    WHAT NABI SAID

“It’s always the same issue when you don’t convert your opportunities to score,” Nabi said on SuperSport TV.

“You keep the opponent alive and when he gets the opportunity to score, he puts in his opportunities and then you have to run after the score.

“Today, it’s an absolutely deceiving result and we’re very aware we didn’t do well, maybe not a lot but there were enough opportunities to look for something, probably the easiest than what the opponent got," added the Tunisian.

"It's been a hard game, the third in seven days, with a couple of injuries, it was not easy, without key players. It's been very tough, it's true that it is a deceiving result but we cannot put everything we have in jeopardy since the beginning of the season."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Soweto giants' chances of finishing the season in the top two now look complicated.

They have nine points fewer than second-placed Orlando Pirates who have played two games less than them.

It is a difficult season for Chiefs who are struggling to show some improvements and their hopes are now in beefing up their squad during the current transfer window.

    WHAT NEXT FOR CHIEFS?

Amakhosi's next assignment is a tricky time against in-form Sekhukhune United at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

They come up against Babina Noko who are third on the table and have not tasted defeat in their last five league games in a run that includes four wins and a draw.
