    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The other teams that have made it into the semis are Kaizer Chiefs who will play either Sekhukhune United or Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Bucs will host Gallants at the Orlando Stadium in the last four hurdle.

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is optimistic that his team can beat the favourites and make the final.

    WHAT OUADDOU SAID

“I think my players were disappointed, not about the draw, not because we were drawn against Pirates, but they wanted to play at home,” he uttered.

“That’s why they were disappointed. But there are no easy games. We will play outside [away from home]. We will try to make a surprise again or to surprise people again."

“I’d like to stop them [from winning three-peat],” he added. “But this is football. I can promise you that we will prepare well and try to give a very good show for the fans most importantly.

“We will try to go and win that game because when you play or reach the semifinals, the goal is to go to the final. We will give everything and give them a hard time as well," Ouaddou concluded.

    WHAT NEXT?

This will be the third meeting between the teams in the ongoing campaign.

Pirates claimed a huge 8-1 win in the first meeting which was in the Premier Soccer League, before a shock 2-0 loss in the second one.

The semi-final fixture will be more of a grudge match as both teams chase a final slot.
