Eswatini doesn't have a FIFA-approved stadium to host international matches.

On Wednesday, March 19, they played Cameroon at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.

    The game eventually ended goalless.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Reportedly, the Indomitable Lions did not get a good reception from their hosts in Mzansi.

They arrived late at the OR Tambo International Airport a day before the match, which led to the cancellation of the connecting flight to Nelspruit.

Cameroon had no option but to take the bus from Johannesburg to Nelspruit, a journey that took four hours, and arrived at the hotel around 4 am, merely hours before the game.

The Red Devils' custodian, Andre Onana, was unhappy with the whole situation and felt pity for the likes of new call-ups Danny Namaso and Nathan Ngoumou.

    WHAT ONANA SAID

"I would like to apologise, on behalf of the team, to our two teammates who arrived for the first time in the national team, namely Nathan and Danny," the Manchester United keeper told the media.

"They love their country very much. They showed patriotism.

"What they experienced in South Africa for their first call-up is unacceptable.

"We are not going to rewrite history. I think that [on Tuesday, against Libya] everyone will face their responsibilities. The most important thing for us is to win," Onana concluded.
