    WHAT HAPPENED?

Defending Premier Soccer League champions Mamelodi Sundowns are set to lose another star, albeit on loan, in the ongoing transfer season.

Rivaldo Coetzee, Sipho Mbule (Orlando Pirates), Lucas Suarez, Lebohang Maboe, Sifiso Ngobeni, Thabang Sibanyoni, Sanele Tshabalala, Kobamelo Kodisang (AVS Futebol SAD), Rushine De Reuck (Simba SC), Thembinkosi Lorch (Wydad Casablanca), Matias Esquivel (AE Kifisia), and Neo Maema are, so far, the players who have left Masandawana.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Ethiopian international Abubeker Nasir is the latest player who is set to leave the Miguel Cardoso-led team.

The winger has been struggling to keep fit after suffering a serious injury early in his Sundowns career, despite a decent start that saw him score three goals in five games for the club.

He is set to join a Motsepe Foundation Championship side University of Pretoria.

    WHAT NEXT?

It will be a vital move for the 25-year-old who has several years to deliver in the top-flight football.

AmaTuks will give the winger a massive chance to prove his quality and probably get a move to another top-tier outfit.
