    TELL ME MORE

Mamelodi Sundowns maintained their unbeaten run under coach Miguel Cardoso with a narrow 1-0 victory over AmaZulu.

The game, played on Tuesday afternoon at Moses Mabhida Stadium, provided Sundowns with three valuable points, a fitting gift ahead of Christmas Day.

The game's only goal came in the referee's optional time through Iqraam Rayners, who continues to shine in attack.

Despite the victory, it was not a particularly inspiring performance, as both sides delivered a lacklustre display.

Sundowns controlled possession but struggled to create clear-cut chances, registering just three shots on target.

Captain Ronwen Williams received a red card, adding a dramatic twist to an otherwise subdued encounter.

AmaZulu, meanwhile, offered little threat to the visitors and failed to test their defence meaningfully.

The loss leaves Usuthu with plenty of work to do if they are to climb out of their current challenging position on the table.

While Sundowns secured the win, their lack of attacking sharpness will be a concern moving forward.

    THE MVP: MALIBONGWE KHOZA

The 20-year-old Malibongwe Khoza has been an excellent find so far, consistently delivering standout performances.

Against Usuthu, he once again showed his class with a top-notch display in midfield.

His ability to control the game and contribute both defensively and offensively has been impressive for such a young player.

Khoza’s calmness and vision on the ball have earned him recognition as one of the brightest young talents in the league.

His rise continues to highlight his potential to become a key player for his team in the future.

    THE BIG LOSER

Ronwen Williams emerged as the biggest loser in the clash against AmaZulu despite Mamelodi Sundowns coming out victorious with a 1-0 win.

His costly red card left the team vulnerable and forced them to play under pressure for the remainder of the match.

As the team's captain, his dismissal was a significant blow, affecting both leadership and defensive stability.

Although Masandawana managed to hold on for the win, Williams' absence in upcoming games could pose challenges for the squad.

He will need to bounce back and ensure greater discipline in crucial moments moving forward.
