Mamelodi Sundowns’ Khuliso Mudau willing to consider a move abroad if the opportunity presents itself

Following his contribution to Bafana Bafana's third-place finish in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament, Mudau reportedly garnered interest from Belgian clubs.This news came after earlier speculation linking him to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/lists/obviously-i-ll-take-it-mamelodi-sundowns-star-khuliso-mudau-breaks-silence-on-burnley-links/blt2247eb5f2b5de029#cs67f96654b25ef260" target="_blank">English side</a> Burnley in the latter part of 2023.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Mudau has consistently been a key player for Sundowns under the mentorship of coach Rhulani Mokwena.&nbsp;This season, the 28-year-old has appeared in 22 matches across various competitions, scoring one goal.&nbsp;However, his standout moment came during Afcon 2023 in Ivory Coast, where he delivered an inspiring performance for Bafana Bafana, playing a crucial role for coach Hugo Broos.

“On that one, I think if that opportunity comes, I would take it,” he told <a href="https://www.idiskitimes.co.za/bafana-bafana/mudau-on-europe-rumours-after-strong-afcon/" target="_blank">iDiski Times</a>.“But for now I can’t say anything, I don’t know anything. So, I’ll just wait, I’m like you, I don’t know anything.“You know that side [Sundowns], you need the right mentality, stay positive, and make sure that you want to learn. Because, if you can check, almost all the players there have improved, you need to learn a lot,” Mudau added on his growth at Sundowns.“That side, there are corrections, there are a lot of meetings, they want to see your values, and you want to show your coach that I have done my corrections.“They will show you your training session and if they are not happy, they will come to you and tell you what you have to improve on. And you get to learn and improve on that,” he concluded.

WHAT MUDAU SAID?

Next on Mudau's agenda will be to recover fully from an ankle injury he sustained during Afcon.&nbsp;He will then aim to rejoin the team in time for the Caf Champions League, where they have reached the quarter-final stage. Their next match against TP Mazembe is scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd.&nbsp;
