    WHAT HAPPENED?

Mamelodi Sundowns have completed the signing of Jayden Adams from Stellenbosch on Saturday.

The 23-year-old joins the Brazilians amid interest in him from traditional rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

The move comes a few days after Adams hinted at joining Sundowns in a cryptic social media post.

He has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the PSL champions.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Adams joins the Brazilians who already have a midfield stacked with quality players.

He would be hoping to shrug off competition in the middle of the park and become a regular at Masandawana.

Enjoying regular football will help him maintain his Bafana Bafana place, especially with the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals on the horizon.

    WHAT NEXT FOR ADAMS?

The Cape Town-born player will not feature when Sundowns host FAR Rabat in their last Caf Champions League on Sunday as he is cup-tied having played for Stellies in this season's Confederation Cup.

But he could make his Masandawana debut when they visit Magesi FC in a Premier Soccer League match on Wednesday.
