    Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach Steve Komphela has shared his experience of the Soweto Derby between two Premier Soccer League giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

    The 57-year-old coach possesses a wealth of Soweto Derby experience, having managed the Motaung-owned team for at least three seasons from 2015 to 2018.

    Speaking with the media ahead of the forthcoming exciting Soweto Derby, Komphela could not conceal his respect for the match between Chiefs and Pirates as he elaborated on what it means to be part of this encounter.

    This eagerly-awaited Soweto Derby will mark the first experience for Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi, who joined the Glamour Boys in July 2024.

    Conversely, Jose Riveiro has considerable experience in this match-up between the two Soweto powerhouses, having arrived in South Africa back in 2022.

    This encounter is expected to be captivating, considering that Chiefs have acquired new players under a new coach, which may present a slight challenge for the Bucs.
