“We have made it obvious that we have a responsibility to support Peter, and we have done everything we can, sometimes playing him in matches where he could be tired, we just want him to have some minutes and maybe break the curse and score,” said Mngqithi as per iDiksi Times.
“Even myself, I celebrated [his goal], because it’s very important for me that Peter is also in top form because we are going to need all our strikers going forward. And the support he’s getting from the team in general has been very good.
“I like the team that I have because I have a lot of very good boys, very sensible human beings who are compassionate, a lot of empathy, and also sympathising with Peter during these hard moments where he was not getting goals. So, it was exciting to see the reaction after he scored as well.”
