As Shalulile made history, Masandawana got a result that is set to boost their confidence ahead of their scheduled games against both Bucs and Amakhosi.

Mamelodi Sundowns cruised to a 2-0 Premier Soccer League victory over Magesi FC during a midweek clash on Wednesday.

Although they were frustrated at the beginning, their efforts were finally rewarded when Jayden Adams broke the deadlock and Peter Shalulile scored a record-equalling goal. 

This is a vital victory for the Tshwane giants, who face tougher challenges going ahead: the MTN8 second-leg semi-final against Orlando Pirates and then a league clash against Kaizer Chiefs.

With a boosted morale, Masandawana can now face the Soweto giants, who are tipped to be their top rivals this season.
