Carvalho had pushed for Bundesliga move
WHAT HAPPENED?
Liverpool loaned Carvalho to Leipzig in the summer, reportedly after he pushed for such a move, but he has struggled to find his way into the starting XI. The 21-year-old has played just 257 minutes, and he has made just one start in the Bundesliga.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Carvalho made four Premier League starts for Liverpool last season but was ostensibly loaned to Leipzig to receive further first-team minutes within a different environment, which has yet to happen consistently. As a result, This Is Anfield reports that Liverpool are considering recalling Carvalho - a move that could then allow them to loan him out again in January.
DID YOU KNOW?
Carvalho is a Portugal Under-21 international, despite playing for England at various youth levels, and he has previously hinted that the reason for his loan move came about after a fall-out with manager Jurgen Klopp.

WHAT NEXT FOR CARVALHO?
It remains to be seen if he will go back to Liverpool and potentially play, or be loaned out again as he continues his search for first-team football. Given Liverpool's wealth of attacking riches, the latter seems the most likely scenario as January approaches.
