Another Trophy For Bafana Bafana Star In Europe! Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana helps FCSB clinch Romanian Super Cup after edging CFR Cluj

Siyabonga Ngezana played the entire match as FCSB left it until late to beat CFR Cluj 2-1 and claim the Romanian Super Cup on Saturday.

The Bafana Bafana defender was deployed at the heart of defence where they were breached once and managed to limit their opponents to just one goal.

This was the second successive year for FCSB to win the Romanian Cup and they achieved that with Ngezana being a key member of their team.

After being promoted to the Kaizer Chiefs first team in 2016, before leaving the club in 2023, Ngezana never won any major trophy with the Soweto giants.

But in just two years in Romania, he has helped FCSB to two league titles and as many Super Cups.

His success in Europe has also seen him playing in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League while earning him a return to the Bafana Bafana fold as his former Amakhosi teammates struggle to play international football.

FCSB now prepare to face Andorran side Inter Club d'Escaldes in the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round, first leg at home on Wednesday.

Ngezana and the Romanian outfit would, this time around, want to push all the way to reach the group stage of this competition after failing to do that last season.
