“For me, it’s been a journey I have enjoyed, as a footballer you have to live for moments like this, to enjoy it each and every time you get an opportunity [to play]," he told the media.
"So, I think with the Bafana, I have been putting myself out there, raising my hand, knocking on the door.
"I have been asking questions to get back into the team, we will see what happens because it’s a long journey, the season is still long but God willing, things will happen according to my plan," Mayo concluded.
