Kaizer Chiefs product Siyabonga Ngezana to rub shoulders with former Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette & ex-Manchester United star Nemanja Matic in Europa League

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana will face French star Alexandre Lacazette with his Romanian Superliga giants FCSB in the Uefa Europa League.

The Red and Blues earned their spot in the Europa League Round of 16 after defeating Super League Greece champions PAOK Thessaloniki over two legs in the playoff tie.

Consequently, Ngezana's FCSB will square off against French Ligue 1 giants Olympique Lyon, who have Lacazette and Nemanja Matic on their books

Ngezana has been a consistent starter for the Superliga champions in the ongoing Europa League campaign, having played against Manchester United.

The former Orlando Pirates academy player, who has established himself as one of the key members of coach Elias Charalambous' team, played a significant part in helping FCSB achieve an overall 4-1 aggregate win against PAOK in the playoff matchup.

Ngezana will be aiming to stay injury-free with big matches looming.

The first leg of the tie between FCSB and Lyon will be held at the National Arena Stadium on March 6, with the second leg taking place on March 13 at the Groupama Stadium.

FCSB will be aiming to climb back to the top of the Superliga standings when they face FC Dinamo București on Sunday.
