    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs collected a deserved 2-1 win over Richards Bay on Wednesday night to go sixth on the table with 10 points, 11 less than leaders Orlando Pirates who have played a game more.

The win ended Amakhosi's four-match winless run across all competitions which is a major confidence booster ahead of Saturday fixture against Royal AM in Polokwane.

NABI LAUDS UNBELIEVABLE OX AND CO.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi gave starts to Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Ashley du Preez, and Pule Mmodi. The trio did not disappoint the former AS FAR Rabat coach.

"I am very happy with the players that started [on Wednesday], especially Ashley, he leaves here with more confidence going forward," he told the media.

"Ox, unbelievable performance, Mmodi did his job very well and we believe that they can do better."

CHIEFS BLAMED FOR 'NOT KILLING THE GAME'

The tactician is not happy with the fact that his players did not convert the many chances they created, something that could have cost them late into the game.

"It's true that we would have killed the game, when you don't kill the game your opponents, you keep them alive," Nabi added.

"You saw what happened at the end, we were a little bit under pressure, but it is true that it could have been a lack of concentration on those very clear opportunities and maybe a lot of overconfidence as well.

"But we feel we need to congratulate our players because the most difficult thing in football is to create opportunities. We now need to figure out how to kill it when you have the opportunity."

DID THE REFEREE LET CHIEFS DOWN WITH FROSLER RED CARD?

Nabi believes referee Cedric Muvhali was wrong in giving Reeve Frosler his marching orders after what he deemed a second bookable offence.

"About the referees, you will judge for yourself, that on the foul there was not even a foul," he added.

"The player slipped himself and after it was a red card, the whole stadium saw that. We won't judge, judge by yourself," Nabi concluded.
