'Kaizer Chiefs fans must give us tips on how to survive! Give Miguel Cardoso time; Rome was not built in a day, but Mamelodi Sundowns are cursed when it comes to penalties; Masandawana will not win CAF Champions League in 40 years' - Fans

Mamelodi Sundowns have been eliminated from another domestic competition after Marumo Gallants beat them in the Carling Cup Round of 16 on Saturday.

Gallants were resilient and managed to win the dramatic encounter in the post-match penalties. After failing to win the MTN8, Downs had a chance to win another title, but that has not happened, as they have been kicked out by Bahlabane Ba Ntwa.

Their performance in the Premier Soccer League is far from convincing, putting more pressure on head coach Miguel Cardoso, and the Gallants' defeat compounds the coach's situation.

After the loss to Gallants, GOAL takes a look at how the fans reacted.

    Give Cardoso time

Miguel Cardoso is not a bad coach; he just needs some time. Let us be patient with him, Masandawana; Rome was not built in one day, and we are definitely not building it with him - dEAR

    Wasted chances

Apart from penalties, we should have beaten this team in 90 minutes but opted to waste balls by doing unnecessary ball circulations without hurting the opponent.

I know for a fact that penalties are not our thing; even during the times of Rhulani and Pitso, we struggled to win on penalties - Peter MA

    Cursed

Our players can't kick penalties. We are cursed when coming to knockout tournaments; it's going to take us 40 years to win CAF. We are very poor in knockouts - Jojo ntsoane

    Can't coaches see?

I'm not a qualified coach, but if there's one thing I know, it's that normally when small teams play MSFC in cup competitions, they ALWAYS want to take us to penalties because they know that we SUCK & we don't practise them. Why can't our coaches see that and avoid them at all costs - K.K.K
