    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs have had an inconsistent season, recording just five wins in 13 games and accumulating 18 points.

It has been six months since Nasreddine Nabi and his technical team took charge, starting with promise but facing difficulties as the season progresses.

With the campaign reaching its critical phase, questions are mounting about Nabi's vision and strategy.

In their last game, a loss to Golden Arrows, Nabi was sent off due to frustration with officiating.

Assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef addressed the media to discuss the current situation at the club.

He appealed to fans for patience as the team continues to adjust and rebuild under the new technical leadership.

    WHAT YOUSSEF SAID

"It is taking time. So even in life, you can see whether the project is positive or negative. Only after one year then you can decide on your project. We are new in the league as a technical bench and the team has changed from last season," Youssef said as reported by Soccer Laduma.

"Maybe there are three or four players who were playing last season. So for that, we need time to make everything right. I think the players have made a lot of improvement. They have tried to make it right in every game.

"The problem is the last third. We make it for progression. All the players know what to do. Only in the last third. The last third does not only depend on the coach's training. There are a lot of things. There is the quality of the players. The decision of the players. It depends on the players. If they make it right then things will work out for us as a team," Youssef concluded.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

With 17 games remaining in the season, Chiefs find themselves in sixth place, a position that falls short of the club's lofty standards.

As one of South Africa's biggest teams, there will be immense pressure to finish in a competitive position.

Their aim will be to stay close to league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and rivals Orlando Pirates.

The technical team must find solutions quickly, especially in the attacking third.

Chiefs need to turn their potential into consistent results to meet their supporters' expectations.

    WHAT NEXT FOR CHIEFS?

Amakhosi will welcome Sekhukhune United to the Moses Mabhida Stadium in their next fixture.

This match is critical for Chiefs to regain their footing after recent setbacks.

A win would not only boost morale but also keep them in contention for higher positions.

The technical team will hope their adjustments can deliver a positive result.
