The Egyptian champions have been backed to win the competition despite the team's recent defeat to the Buccaneers.

Former Kaizer Chiefs attacker Junior Khanye recently claimed Al Ahly are better placed to successfully defend their Caf Champions League title.

This is even after Orlando Pirates' strong run in the ongoing edition, and Mamelodi Sundowns' hunger to win the second star.

Khanye argues the Egyptians are too experienced to let the continental crown slip through their fingers.
