The Brazilians seized control of the Premier Soccer League standings following a convincing victory over their visitors from Limpopo and they are now on top of Amakhosi and Sekhukhune United who were above them. After collecting maximum points, Masandawana set themselves up to defend the league title for a record-extending eighth consecutive time.

Iqraam Rayners struck a brace as Mamelodi Sundowns beat Sekhukhune United 3-0 in a PSL match at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday. 

Following the three points collected, the Tshwane giants leapfrogged Kaizer Chiefs and Sekhukhune United to settle on top of the table with a point better although they have played a game more than their nearest challengers.
