    WHAT HAPPENED?

The fans demanded the appointment of Nasreddine Nabi at the start of the season.

They felt he was the man to help them rebuild and take the Glamour Boys to their rightful place in Mzansi football.

However, they have been frustrated owing to inconsistencies, especially in the Premier Soccer League, where Amakhosi have been turned into a laughing stock.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Amakhosi are at a risk of missing the MTN8 next season, owing to their failure to secure points against the seemingly easy teams.

The Soweto giants were also knocked out of the Carling Knockout in the quarter-final stage by eventual finalists Mamelodi Sundowns.

On Sunday, the two teams will meet, once again, but in the Nedbank Cup semi-final fixture to be staged at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

Nabi said he has no pressure to win, but insists he has an obligation to make the club's fans happy.

    WHAT NABI SAID

"The only pressure I have is from the fans. When I am outside, I try to do my best to make them happy. Life here in SA is too expensive, so I need to make them happy to forget that life is expensive,” he told the media.

“When you enjoy football, you forget all your problems. On the 25th [of every month], people have to pay for their houses and rent; that’s pressure.

"If we don’t win this trophy, we have to continue working. Will I be under pressure if we lose this one? No, no! The real pressure is social, where people’s salaries are finished a day after payday; you need to pay school fees for your child, that’s real pressure.

"But is losing a game and still receiving a big salary pressure? I don’t have pressure, but I have respect for the fans and for the club," Nabi concluded.
