'I could talk many times about Neymar!' - Kylian Mbappe responds to Brazilian's claims he was 'jealous' of Lionel Messi at PSG

Last week, Neymar claimed that while the pair were playing together at PSG, he got on well with Mbappe, until Lionel Messi arrived and the France World Cup winner started acting "jealous". Now, Mbappe has responded to the comments, and has given them unsurprisingly short shrift.

All three have since moved onto pastures new, with Messi at Inter Miami, Mbappe at Real Madrid, and Neymar playing in Saudi Arabia for Al-Hilal. Mbappe remains at the peak of European football, and insists he has no desire to provoke a reaction from his former team-mate.

Mbappe told TNT Sports Brazil: "No. The truth is that I have nothing to say. I am very focused on what I am doing here, at Real Madrid. I have a lot of respect for Neymar.

"I could talk about Neymar many times, but I prefer to keep the positive, a unique player in the history of football and all the moments we spent together in Paris. Now I'm in Madrid, I want to enjoy Madrid. Good luck to Neymar, his family and all his friends."

Mbappe will be back in action for Los Blancos when they face RB Salzburg in the Champions League on Wednesday. Real are 22nd in the league phase, and need a win to boost their chances of reaching the knockout phase.
