<p>Former Kaizer Chiefs attacker Brian Abbas Amidu was arrested this week for alleged drug trafficking.</p><p>According to the Zimbabwe Police, he was arrested alongside his accomplice, Reuben Kudzai Mhlanga, along the Kwekwe-Kadoma Highway.&nbsp;</p><p>The Authorities have now revealed that the drugs are valued at around R1,3 million.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

WHAT THE POLICE SAID

<p>When he signed for Amakhosi in 2012, the Soweto giants announced he was 21, meaning he should be around 35 years old now; it beats logic that the police said he is 29.&nbsp;</p><p>Amidu, who lasted just three months at Naturena after joining Amakhosi from Black Mambas, played for the Black Leopards FC as well for three years. &nbsp;</p><p>He also had a stint in the Middle East before hanging up his boots five years ago.</p><p>The former Black Leopards star further represented Zimbabwe seven times before stiff competition saw him out.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>The duo was presented in court, where they were denied bail by the magistrate.&nbsp;</p><p>The trial is set to begin once the prosecutor has gathered enough evidence against the suspects.</p>
