    WHAT HAPPENED?

Since taking over Golden Arrows, Manqoba Mngqithi has had a mixed start with two wins, two draws, and two losses. His side finds themselves hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone.

Arrows have taken advantage of Royal AM’s struggles by signing several of their players to boost their squad. After their recent KZN derby loss to AmaZulu, Mngqithi reflected positively on the impact of the new signings.

He stated that even though many of the new players have not featured much, their presence has contributed to the team's spirit and competition.

He believes that their quality will shine through as they get more match fit. The 54-year-old remains optimistic about steering Arrows to safety in the coming matches.

    WHAT MNGQITHI SAID

“I’m happy with the contributions of the players that we got late in the season. I must say that. I think they are contributing fairly well in what we are trying to do,” said Mngqithi as reported by FarPost.

“The impact and contribution of all the players who have not been playing regularly, even within the club, is looking good.”

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Arrows are betting on experience and fresh energy to save their season.

Veteran defender Thabo Matlaba made a brief but promising appearance in their last match.

The club is now in pursuit of Ayanda Jiyane and goalkeeper Xolani Ngcobo to further bolster their ranks.

These new additions could offer the depth and leadership needed in the crucial final stretch. Arrows are determined to avoid relegation and rebuild strongly for next season.

    WHAT NEXT FOR ARROWS?

The road ahead is tough for Arrows as they face two formidable opponents in quick succession.

First, they clash with Stellenbosch, who are reeling after a continental semi-final exit.

Then they take on Orlando Pirates, who are chasing Mamelodi Sundowns in a tight league race.

These two matches could define Arrows' survival hopes as they battle to stay in the top flight.
