Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu played to a 2-2 draw on Tuesday night in the Premier Soccer League outing at the FNB Stadium.

Amakhosi started the match well, forcing Usuthu's Richard Ofori to a double save in the first minute.

The Glamour Boys, who were keen on bouncing back from Soweto Derby loss to Orlando Pirates last weekend, opened the scoring in the 18th minute after Ramahlwe Mphahlele turned the ball into his net.

However, the lead lasted just five minutes; Chiefs were caught in a counter-attack, Rowan Human slipped Tshepang Moremii in a good area and the latter beat Bruce Bvuma with ease.
In the 60th minute, Human delivered a good corner and Elmo Kambindu beat Tashreeq Morris to the ball before finding the back of the net.

A terrible mistake by Richard Ofori three minutes later ended with him guiding Glody Lilepo's seemingly harmless header into the net.

The 2-2 draw means Chiefs have now collected 22 points from the 16 matches played, and that puts them fifth on the table.

AmaZulu are two positions lower with 20 points from 16 outings as well.

    THE MVP

In the entire game, Rowan Human ran the proceedings in AmaZulu's attack, causing problems for the Amakhosi team.

His two assists were well placed with massive quality that was just too hard for Chiefs to clear the ball.

  • THE BIG LOSER

Ghana and AmaZulu goalkeeper Richard Ofori could have done better to stop the first cross that led to the own goal.

However, the worst of it all was turning the ball into his net when Usuthu was in the driving seat.

Definitely, a match the former Orlando Pirates star would want to forget.

    WHAT COMES NEXT?

The Glamour Boys hope to have a better outing when they play Stellenbosch in another league outing.

The fixture will be played on Friday, February 7 at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.

After the FNB Stadium match, Usuthu's focus will be on Marumo Gallants.

Their duel will be on Friday as well, at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
