The Brazilian has revealed himself to be a massive first-person shooter video game fan with an astronomical £30,000 ($38,000) in-game purchases. THE BIGGER PICTURE

The ban reportedly occurred on Saturday, around the same time when Jesus was on the field helping Arsenal secure a 5-0 victory against Crystal Palace. He contributed by setting up Leandro Trossard for the Gunners' third goal while Gabriel Magalhaes, an own goal from Dean Henderson, and a late brace from Gabriel Martinelli sealed a thumping victory over Roy Hodgson's troops.

Jesus also shares his gaming experiences on Twitch and had previously streamed a session with his compatriot Neymar, attracting a substantial audience of over 10,000 viewers. However, a section of Arsenal fans were happy to see him get banned as it has been over a month since he found the net in the Premier League - against Brighton on December 17 in a 2-0 win.

  • WHAT NEXT?

Jesus will hope to find his scoring boots soon, otherwise, the striker runs the risk of facing the brunt of fans on social media who are already running thin on patience. He will return to competitive action against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday in the Premier League before Arsenal host Liverpool on February 4 at the Emirates.
