Orlando Pirates have been bringing in players they believe will help them achieve their targets in the 2025/26 season.

So far, the Sea Robbers, under the leadership of Abdeslam Ouaddou, have signed nine players across all departments.

Sipho Mbule is among the new faces at the club.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

'Master Chef' is known for his off-the-pitch life that has put him in trouble in the past, recently with Sekhukhune United, who ended up terminating his deal.

Speculations have it that it contributed to Sundowns' decision not to extend his stay upon the expiry of his contract.

Pirates gave him a chance to revive his career, and the club's legend Edward Motale has now advised the midfielder on how to stay out of trouble.

    WHAT MOTALE SAID

"We spoke about things like behaviour on and off the field. Sometimes an environment can change a player, we spoke about how to choose friends," he told SNL24.
"Friends can also change a player. You need to choose the right friends. The environment in Jozi, akulalwa (there's no sleep), it's busy.
"Unlike in Polokwane, where it is only busy on weekends," Motale continued.

"In Jozi, it's busy Monday to Monday. That discipline is wanted, you need to adjust, that I'm no longer in Polokwane, I'm in Jozi, it's busy here.

"But we spoke well, we understood each other, we're on the same page, as well as other players," he concluded.

    WHAT NEXT?

This is a massive chance for Mbule to prove his doubters wrong, and with his talent, he can definitely have a massive impact on Pirates.

With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations coming later in the year, coach Hugo Broos might be tempted to have him in his squad.
