Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Sekgota concerned with lack of game time at Stellenbosch but hopeful his time to shine will come

The Seshego-born player departed Amakhosi in August with the aspiration of securing consistent playing opportunities with the Cape Winelands side. Nevertheless, in the current 2023/24 season, Sekgota has only been in the starting lineup for three out of the 11 Premier Soccer League matches. This scarcity of game time is now a source of worry for the player, who is optimistic that the situation will improve, and he will become a regular fixture in head coach Steve Barker's starting eleven soon.

"The main thing for Sekgota when he left Chiefs was to go where he would get regular game time. He made over 30 appearances for FC Stumbras in Lithuania before moving to Vitoria FC in Portugal. Sekgota then returned to South Africa and was signed by Chiefs from Moroka Swallows in 2021, the player was once hailed as one of the club's 'major stars.'Unfortunately, his time at the Naturena-based club did not unfold as anticipated.
