Former English Premier League star backs Orlando Pirates transfer target to move to Europe after impressing in PSL

Orlando Pirates beat Marumo Gallants on Sunday to reach the Nedbank Cup final, where they beat traditional rivals Kaizer Chiefs.

While Kabelo Dlamini stole the limelight with the all-important goal, Makhehlene Makhaula was controlling things in midfield.

Gallants coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, who played for Fulham in the Premier League, picked Masundi Nemtajela as his outstanding player.

"Masindi is a top player, he was not playing a lot at the beginning, but we have to give confidence to the players, to make them play in the right position, and I can see that he's improving," said Ouaddou as per SABC Sport.

"He still has a lot of time to progress as well because his development is not finished, and to be honest, I'm very impressed by that player, and I can tell you that, if he continues to work, this guy can easily play in Europe.

"I was a coach in Europe, and he is a top, top player and he just needs to keep working hard."

Nemtajela has been a quiet player who has been out of the limelight this season despite being a key Gallants player.

In his 13 Premier Soccer League games, he has scored just once but has been an influential figure for Gallants.

Nemtajela has been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates and could move in the upcoming transfer window.

After bowing out of the Nedbank Cup, Gallants shift focus to the PSL and they host Golden Arrows on Saturday.

They are trying to stay clear of the relegation zone as they are currently 12th on the table.
