Flavio Silva: Kaizer Chiefs announce signing of Portuguese striker from Persebaya Surabaya

Kaizer Chiefs have been struggling to score goals in the last couple of seasons despite the many chances they create.

Christian Saile and Ranga Chivaviro were released after failing to deliver and with Tashreeq Morris not convincing, Amakhosi have acted.

They have decided to strengthen the department ahead of the new season.

The Glamour Boys have now confirmed the arrival of Flavio Silva to lead their attack in the 2025-26 Premier Soccer League campaign.

The 29-year-old scored 23 goals last season in the Indonesian top tier, attracting the likes of Petro Atletico, but it was Chiefs who eventually won the race.

Silva has massive experience, having played in Europe and Asia for a couple of seasons.

The new striker has been designated jersey number 77.

Silva has no option but to deliver where his colleagues failed to; by doing that, he will ease the pressure from the fans.

The most importnat thing will be to help Amakhosi become competitive again.
