    WHAT HAPPENED?

Pitso Mosimane has been struggling in his job as Esteghlal coach in the Persian Gulf League.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Mosimane hasn't enjoyed success in his last three coaching jobs and that could taint his image going forward as he looks for bigger opportunities.

Since helping Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli to promotion from the second tier, Mosimane has struggled for honours.

Stints at Emirati side Al Wahda and Abha have not been the best for Mosimane who is now not in an ideal space in Iran.

    WHAT NEXT FOR MOSIMANE?

With rumours swelling that Mosimane could leave Esteghlal, it remains to be seen if he will be in charge when they host Esteghlal Khuzestan on Thursday.

It could be a defining match that could decide Mosimane's future.
