Erik ten Hag returns to Manchester! Sacked Man Utd boss spotted back in town to visit favourite restaurant with wife and clear out Cheshire mansion

According to the Daily Mail,the Dutchman, who managed the Red Devils for two-and-a-half years, was photographed dining at Piccolino, an Italian restaurant in Hale Village. Accompanied by his wife, Bianca, the 54-year-old seemed to be revisiting familiar territory.

The report mentions that the couple spent part of the day clearing out their belongings from their mansion in Cheshire before heading to Piccolino for dinner. The manager was previously seen dining at that same restaurant after guiding the Red Devils to victory in the FA Cup last season.

For Ten Hag, his return to Manchester likely evoked a mix of emotions. His tenure, marked by notable highs and frustrating lows, came to an abrupt end after a string of disappointing results, with the 2-1 loss to West Ham serving as the final nail in the coffin.

Ten Hag’s return coincides with the beginning of a new chapter for United. Ruben Amorim, the Portuguese tactician who recently assumed the head coach role, conducted his first training session at Carrington earlier this week. His debut as United boss will be an away fixture at Portman Road against Ipswich Town on Sunday.
