    WHAT HAPPENED?

    After their promotion, Durban City announced the departure of head coach Simo Dladla, confirming that they have gone their separate ways.

    The PSL newbies side released a statement noting that they are now looking beyond Dladla as they prepare for the challenges of top-flight football.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    Durban City have now settled on Gavin Hunt as their new coach ahead of the 2025/26 Premier Soccer League campaign.

    The 60-year-old has been without a club since his departure from SuperSport United a few months before the PSL's conclusion.

    Hunt has massive experience in the South African top flight, having coached Kaizer Chiefs, Moroka Swallows, Bidvest Wits, and Chippa United among others, winning major honours in the process.
