    WHAT HAPPENED?

Mohau Nkota was officially unveiled by Al-Attifaq after Orlando Pirates announced the transfer of the 20-year-old to Saudi Arabia earlier this week.

After initially being tipped to move to Europe, Nkota surprisingly moved to the Gulf region.

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Doctor Khumalo believes the Bafana Bafana star will improve as a player while playing in the Saudi Pro League.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Former Liverpool star Georginio Wijnaldum is one of Nkota's teammates at Al Ettifaq and also the team captain.

The Bafana star would be hoping to tap into the experience of the UEFA Champions League winner and the two were pictured sharing light moments at training.

Now playing in Saudi Arabia, Nkota will be hoping to remain in the plans South Africa coach Hugo Broos.
