    WHAT HAPPENED?

Stellenbosch FC winger Devin Titus has stated that he does not rule out the possibility of a dream move to one of the major Premier Soccer League clubs.

Throughout the last two transfer windows, the Bafana Bafana international was heavily poised to join either Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, or Orlando Pirates.

However, Titus ended up staying with Stellenbosch as none of those potential moves materialized, but he has left the possibility open for a transfer to any of those teams, or for a move overseas.

    WHAT TITUS SAID

"I want to be here at Stellenbosch because this team gave me an opportunity when no other club gave me an opportunity," Titus told the media.

"Saying that, once I reach the things that I want to reach with Stellenbosch, hopefully, I will then move over with my career.

"I can move because I know for a fact that Stellenbosch is not a club that will keep you and hold you back from reaching your dreams."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Since joining the Stellenbosch first team in January 2021 following his outstanding performance during the title-winning 2021/22 DDC season, Titus has been performing well for Steve Barker's team.

So far this season, the former South Africa U-23 star, now part of Hugo Broos' Bafana Bafana team, has managed eight goals in 31 matches across all competitions for Stellies.

With several major teams continuing to express interest in Titus, the speedy winger could likely leave Stellenbosch in the forthcoming winter transfer window.

    WHAT NEXT FOR TITUS?

For now, Titus will concentrate on helping Stellies perform well in the Caf Confederation Cup, the league competition, and the ongoing Ke Yona Nedbank Cup tournament.

The commitment begins on Thursday when the Cape Winelands team hosts a revitalized Polokwane City in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 clash at the Danie Craven Stadium.
