Cristiano Ronaldo's uncle rescued by firefighters and rushed to hospital after being knocked off his motorbike by car in Jersey

Jorge Viveiros, who is the brother of Ronaldo's mother, was hit by a car in Saint Helier, the capital of the island of Jersey, reports Jornal da Madeira. Firefighters at the scene of the accident helped Viveiros and he was taken to hospital.

After some time under observation at the hospital, the Al-Nassr star's uncle was released and allowed to return home on the same day.

Ronaldo has a close bond with his family, particularly with his mother, Dolores Aveiro. The Portugal icon regularly appears with his close family in social media posts.

Ronaldo will be relieved to hear his uncle is not seriously injured as the 39-year-old prepares for Al-Nassr's upcoming Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Qadsiah on Friday.
