  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    According to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol, the Blues are not willing to pay more than £50 million ($66m), as they value the Dutch international between €50m and €55m. Chelsea have not placed a formal offer for Simons with RB Leipzig.

    Football.London's Bobby Vincent, on the other hand, claims that while talks haven't progressed with RB Leipzig, the Blues remain confident that they will be able to secure the transfer. An insider told the journalist, "It’s not always easy, but it is nothing at all to worry about." Leipzig, meanwhile, are in talks with United and Magpies as both Premier League clubs are fighting for Sesko.

    Another report from journalist Orazio Accomando claims that Chelsea have agreed to pay £60m ($80m) to RB Leipzig as they are on the verge of sealing Simons' transfer, who will sign a seven-year contract, valid until 2032.
