Barcelona ready to loan Ansu Fati out again as Catalan club admit defeat in selling misfit winger this summer

Per The Athletic, Barca are ready to loan Fati out once again, after sending him to Brighton in the 2023/24 season. The winger has been limited to just three La Liga starts in 2024/25 but his high wages are prohibitive for most suitors.

As a result of his contract situation, he is set to head out on loan again instead of leaving permanently. AS Monaco are interested in signing the forward on loan, although it is unclear if there will be an option or obligation to buy; Fati's contract expires in 2027.

The 22-year-old's exit would free up the iconic No.10 shirt at Barcelona, which is set to be handed to Lamine Yamal, as he bids to follow in Lionel Messi's footsteps.

Fati will hope to conclude any move away from Barca soon, as he aims to embark on a fresh challenge.
