The Southern African nation risk getting eliminated from the biennial competition following their failure to get maximum points in Kampala on Friday.

Bafana Bafana failed to collect maximum points versus Niger, which could have seen them go top of Group C with seven points ahead of a tough assignment on Monday against Uganda.

The two nations played to a goalless draw in Kampala, meaning South Africa are third on five points, the same as second-placed Algeria, who have a superior goal difference.

Uganda lead the pack with six points, ahead of a crunch finale with Molefi Ntseki's men; Niger and Guinea have been eliminated.
