    WHAT HAPPENED?

Mamelodi Sundowns were drawn in Group F at the 2025 Fifa Club World Cup.

They will be up against South Korean side Ulsan HD, Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and Brazilian outfit Fluminense.

    WHAT BOJANIC SAID

“It’s more like we take things game by game, it doesn’t matter who we will face, we will try to do our best and see if it’s enough," said Bojanic as per iDiski Times.

"We won’t try to change, we will stick to our ID, try to dominate, and if we lose, we can say the opponent is better you know.

“I think Dortmund is the best team in the group, it will be good to see they are, how good the players are and everything – so I think that game will be the toughest one for us.

"I don’t know a lot about the football in South Africa, but if they [Sundowns are here] in the World Cup, it is a very good team," added the Swede.

“And if they lost a final, they should be ready for revenge to win something else and show a good performance at the tournament.”

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Sundowns are searching for their first-ever win at the Club World Cup after emerging from the 2016 edition bruised without recording any victory.

It was then their maiden participation at this competition, but after years of being considered as an African football giant, they have more pressure not to disappoint this time around.

Also, losing the Caf Champions League final to Pyramids would make the Brazilians want to appease their fans.
