    WHAT HAPPENED?

    AmaZulu FC announced the departure of 16 players on Friday night following the conclusion of the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League season.

    The list of departures is headlined by former Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Mamelodi Sundowns product Kwanda Mngonyama and ex-Orlando Pirates star Abbubaker Mobara.

    AmaZulu, who finished sixth in the PSL in the recent campaign, are set to sign new players for the 2025/26 campaign, which is expected to start in August.

    Usuthu have been linked with Chippa United goalkeeper Darren Johnson, Keagan Allan of Richards Bay and Kruger United attacking midfielder Thapelo Matlhoko.
