BackpageAfter Mohau Nkota, another Orlando Pirates youngster is tipped for move abroad - 'He can even go overseas... in fact, he deserves that'
BackpageWHAT HAPPENED?
Orlando Pirates legendary defender Siyabonga 'Nsimbi' Sangweni has said Mbekezeli Mbokazi deserves an overseas move for what he has shown already.
Sangweni said that the 19-year-old needs to keep up with what he showed last season and maintain discipline, and everything good will align for him.

“The boy [Mbokazi] is doing very well. It shows that he's a rural boy. I don't know his full background, but I know he's from a rural area," Sangweni told GOAL.
"If he can continue like this and be disciplined, knowing what he wants, he can go very far. I believe he can even go overseas... in fact, he deserves that. He can play for any team in the world," he added.

Although Sangweni believes Mbokazi is a top defender, he has pointed out what he must avoid and improve to become even better.
“What I like the most about him is that he's physically strong and he doesn't fall down easily. He's fearless," the retired defender explained.
"One thing that I think he must improve is that tendency of passing the ball inside in the midfield; that makes it very difficult for the team to recover in case the opposition wins the ball. He must fix that," he added.

Mbokazi, who hails from Hluhluwe in the northern part of KwaZulu-Natal, made his professional debut last December. He went on to make 19 top-flight appearances and is viewed as one of the best defenders in the PSL.
Mbokazi's performances also caught the eye of Bafana Bafana's head coach, Hugo Broos, who called him up and handed him his Bafana debut in June.
Sangweni's comments come just after Mohau Nkota, another highly prized Bucs asset, left to join Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia.
Relebohile Mofokeng has also been linked with a number of clubs, intensifying speculation that he might leave the Soweto giants.

Just like last season, the academy product is expected to anchor Pirates' defence.
Whether paired with Tapelo Xoki or Nkosinathi Sibisi, Mbokazi has always performed, showing signs he can grow into a top defender for club and country.
