The football community continues to mourn the loss of Liverpool forward Diogo Jota, with AS Roma's Paulo Dybala, accompanied by veteran manager Claudio Ranieri and sporting director Frederic Massara, arrived at Anfield to lay a bouquet of flowers at the growing memorial dedicated to Jota. The Portuguese international and his younger brother, André Silva, tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Spain in early July.

Jackson left out of Chelsea friendly amid exit links

Nicolas Jackson has been left out from Chelsea's squad for their pre-season friendly against Bayer Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge, fuelling speculation over his future. The 24-year-old trained alone earlier on Friday, with Newcastle and Bayern Munich keen on a summer move. The striker has also now reportedly asked officially to leave the west London side.

Kane opens up on dreadful penalty during Tottenham reunion

Bayer Munich star Harry Kane opened up on his penalty miss against boyhood club Tottenham Hotspur during 4-0 win in pre-season on Thursday. This was only the second time that the England captain has played against Spurs since leaving the club in 2023. Kane scored the opener for the Bavarian side and three minutes later squandered a penalty as he skied the ball over the crossbar after losing his footing.

New Faris Najd signing Joao Felix also showcased his ability as he got an assist for Ronaldo's second goal of the night on the back of a quick one-two with the Portugal captain.
